Such a greatly convicting & sanctifying book! I think every Christian should read this book!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND for yourself & as a gift!!
This book is for the Christian Believer that struggles to escape an empty “Is this all there is?” feeling about life... or even those trying to deal with anger or unresolved wounds in their Christian journey. Bottom line if you struggle with an inability to find childlike, euphoric joy in your life with Christ... please, please, please read this book for your own deliverance!
If you are wondering why you are not content ever or for just a short time this book is for you. Mr. Tripp presents an explanation that I think is correct ... a lack of Awe for our creator, God. As usual I found his book to be humbly presented and God centered. It is worth your time and consideration.
Paul Tripp writes in a way you can understand. He is direct and to the point. This book will deepen your worship, it will change the way you think about life, it will lead you to confess your sin, and it will transform your perspective . . . On everything!

I’m sorry, that last line got me. Don’t go to it right away. Take your time and enjoy this book.
The approach to the subject, we seem to avoid, but need to address, is perfectly executed. Truths that I seemed to overlook and miss, are now front and center. God grace, and my need for it is as visible now, as the day I accepted Jesus, but in such a applicable way, that it brings hope to areas where it lacked. Thank you for being a vessel in the Potter’s Hand, used to lovingly guide us into a deeper relationship with the Father, by the working of His Spirit.
Wow. Wow. Wow. Is the best way for me to describe Paul Tripp's book Awe. It was truly "Awe"some. I learned of "Awe" when an excerpt of it was provided with Paul's "How People Change" book (awesome too). Working through the worst period of my life and faith, both these books have been the most powerfully encouraging and self-detoxing of all my reading and studying during my present trials. Embrace the concept of Awe as Paul Tripp presents it, and you will definitely view yourself, others, God and all of his Creation much differently. What are you in awe of? Let Paul help you discover your Awe choices. You might discover the joy and peace that surpasses understanding with God, yourself, and others, is closer than you think.
