The third and final book in the They Who Fell series by Kevin Kneupper, which readers call "absolutely epic" and a "fantastic story."

Jana, Rhamiel, and Thane are on the run, pursued by Suriel and an army of seraphs who've bent their knees in servitude. They thought he was the only threat they faced, and they thought they'd found a way to hide away until her pregnancy was over and the Son could return to the world again.

But darker things have come to Earth than Suriel, and the Cherubim are working strange magics from their Hive. Things from Lucifer's Pit are finding their way out of their cage and into the world, and they come whispering about Lucifer himself.

Hiding isn't an option anymore, and the only choice left to Jana and Rhamiel is to fight. They need old allies to do it, along with whatever new ones they can scrounge, and the fate of the world will be decided by a final battle with the architect of Heaven's first rebellion.

Here's what readers are saying about the They Who Fell series"

"Holy awesome surprise! Mr. Kneupper hooked me with the first chapter and kept me turning pages until I finished the book in one sitting. Excellent writing, great characterization and a phenomenal plot landed They Who Fell at a solid 5 star rating.
By turning the traditionally ingrained idea of benevolent angles on its head and creating a plausible set of circumstances, I seriously questioned what would happen if a second heavenly fall occurred. Would the angels I've viewed as guardians become my worst nightmare? Would God turn his back on all of His creations and let the outcome be determined by the players themselves?"

"In a word, WOW!!! This book was sad, scary, disturbing and fascinating all at the same time. I didn't want to put it down. As a believer, it had me asking what if? The story made me think and I like that about books. I can't wait for the next installment because I want to know what's going to happen next. Is humanity redeemed? Who knows but I can't wait."

-Bookworm2015, Reviewer

"I found the story incredibly fascinating, as seen through the eyes of an innocent young woman who was brought to the angels' stronghold, The Tower, too young to even remember what it was like on the outside.
I truly enjoyed reading this book. It is vastly different from any of books I have read to date. Humans tend to think of angels as benevolent beings...and they were...but when they "Fell," they seemed to have lost their compassion for the human race. The author created an angelic caste system of sorts, as well as his own idea of angelic politics. I was enthralled and couldn't help but barrel through the book to see where the next page took me."

"I came back after reading the second book to write this review. I couldn't wait to see what befell these characters next! I was intrigued and horrified at how these Angels acted! This is not the typical, Angels trying to save humanity story, it's like a science experiment gone horribly awry, like pulling the wings off of flies! I cannot wait to see if the Author expands on this storyline and I hope he does because I am hooked!"

From the moment I read book one I was captivated that some one wrote a book about fallin angels. One could almost call it christian fantasy/sci fi. Either kudos to author for taking that premise and writing these books. It's been a fun ride.

With that being said here is why I gave it the score I did. SPOILERS AHEAD. The first book we get introduced to every one ending with the tower coming down. Never saw it coming. Then the 2nd book we get introduced to Suriel. Again never saw his character twist coming but i enjoyed the surrounding cast members ie preacher perry. The third book however felt like to much time was spent on reading about how they were trapped in the forest. I wanted raptures and clouds parting lol but other then tnat it was a good book in a great series. Don't take what ive said wrong. Its just that books 1-2 were such nail biters that the slow period in book three was like ah man really. A whole 2 to 3 chapeters of cassie starting to beat herself up and jana doing nothing but woe is me-ing. But then i allowed myself to get trapped in a world were humans no longer sat at the top of the food chain. I asked myself how would I behave if aliens or angels came to the planet and basically enslaved us. So their(cassie and janna) became some what bearable but i guess to some up the slowness of the third book was a small let down. Other then that good book. P.s S/O to all the sexy angels am I right?! Ambriela being able to appear beautiful despite the fall sounds hot!

Adversary They Who Fell Book 3 edition by Kevin Kneupper Paranormal Romance eBooks Reviews

Once I started, I couldn’t put the books down. And, when I had to leave for work during the day, I couldn’t wait to get back home so I could start reading again. I really enjoyed They Who Fell (all the books), and didn’t want it to end.
Once you start this trilogy you won't be able to put them down until you've read all 3. Book 1 was awesome and book 2 and 3 were just as good. I would recommend this trilogy to anyone who loves to read.
I have enjoyed all 3 books. I love to follow Jana and Rhamiel's story. The creative ways the creatures and fantastic events are described are interesting and make for a fun read. I love all the changes of perspective, loved that. Although a few times the anticipation to see what happened was hard (in a good way).
This was the last book of series and didn't disappoint. I give this book 4 1/2 stars. I loved Lucifer's role. As original as the series and the author knows how to build suspense in the story. At times I found Jana's internal debates a little annoying but then I wasn't raised as a slave or ever had to live in such a dangerous environment.
It was a good next book in the sequence. Although, I did skip a few of the parts about Jana & Rhamiels professions of love. It seemed like overkill to make up for the last book reviews of not enough plot regarding why they fell in love. Guess I'm not much of a romantic because I didn't feel like that was a problem in the last book. The description of Lucifer's body and the reasoning of why it looks like it does was one of my favorite parts. I look forward to the next book.
The first two books were passably interesting. One became involved with the characters and the story was intriguing. However, I confess to skipping pages in the third book. Jana became an irritating, whinning, clinging character. All those passages dealing with who would end up in heaven; would they be separated forever when she died - all completely unnecessary to the story. Then she goes on and on about the slaves. Mr. Kneupper must have needed more words! I'm not sure if I'll be engaged enough in the story to buy the 4th book.
A fitting end to a great series. Possibly just a dash too much reflection on emotions for the main protagonist and a couple of the supplementary characters, but the action scenes more than made up for the deep introspective scenes.
I feel that my knowledge of angels and cherubs and the rest of the heavenly hosts has been well broadened! And I have a new desire to remain far away from the clutches of Lucifer and Hell!
The author has done some excellent world building with this series, and has written some truly awesome action/fight scenes. I adored the whole series and I'm pleased I read them all.
